Ford Mustang for ambulance service in Dubai

The Brabus 700 Widestar is a high-performance power off-roader with a 515 kW/700 HP 5,5 litreV8 biturbo engine.
The supercars of Dubai Police have got some competition after the city’s ambulance service added two Ford Mustangs to its fleet in a bid to reach patients faster.
The two American-made cars will provide support to paramedic teams in delivering a rapid response service and will help in rescuing critical cases, especially in traffic accidents, UAE news agency WAM reported.

The Dubai Ambulance Co-operation said it will also add a high-speed Lotus to its fleet in the coming days.
“We hope that these cars will help in reaching our 2020 target of reaching patients within four minutes of receiving a call,” said Khalifa Bin Darai, executive director of the Cooperation.
Currently, the emirate’s ambulance service is working to reach heart patients within eight minutes of receiving an emergency call. The number of ambulance vehicles in the Dubai service has now reached 204. The Mustangs, 2015 models, are expected to be the first vehicles deployed in critical situations so paramedics can provide first aid assistance until an ambulance crew arrives on site.
One of the latest additions to the Dubai Police supercar fleet is the Nissan GTR
It was not immediately clear whether the cars were custom made or what medical equipment they have been equipped with. The two cars were given to the cooperation by Al Tayer Motors group.
“This move is the beginning of a long-term cooperation between us and proactive government entities,” said Tareq Al Tayer from Al Tayer group. “This is foremost a national duty.”

Couple sell their daughter`s virginity

Dubai court.
A married couple have been jailed after they forced their 15-year-old daughter to work as a prostitute in Dubai – including selling her virginity for Dhs16,000 (appr.US$4,500)

The father has been sentenced to five years in prison by Dubai Court of First instance, while his wife will serve three years inside.
The couple, aged 38 and 25, came to Dubai as visitors with their daughter last August. They then forced her for into prostitution, claiming they needed money as they were broke.

In September, Dubai Police received information that the husband and wife wanted to sell their daughter to a pimp. The force sent in an undercover officer posing as a potential buyer. The agent offered to pay Dhs10,000 (appr.US$2,800) for the girl and the father accepted. They arranged for the girl to be handed over at a hotel in Hor Al Anz, where the parents were arrested when they turned up.
The girl later told officers: “They asked me to have sex with strangers as we were poor. Once they took me to a hotel and I had sex with a Pakistani man for Dhs16,000.”
She said the client had paid such a high fee as she was a virgin. The mother confessed that she had also worked as a prostitute at the request of her husband.
Dubai Police also arrested two Pakistani pimps who ran a brothel and helped the Pakistani father to find customers for his daughter. The pimps were jailed for two years.
The Pakistani man who paid Dhs16,000 to sleep with the girl was also arrested and has been jailed for a year. All the defendants will be deported after serving their jail terms.

Men jailed for a month for dressing as women at Metro station

Two men have been jailed for a month followed by deportation after being caught in a Dubai Metro station wearing woman’s clothes and carrying handbags containing make-up.

Prosecutors said the Filipino pair, aged 34 and 44, were stopped by a police officer at Al Rigga station after he became suspicious of the clothes they were wearing, which included women’s bras.
Court records show that when the policeman approached the duo and asked them for their ID during the incident in March, he was surprised to see their gender was stated as male.

He took them to Muraqabbat Police Station and the pair confessed that they enjoyed wearing women’s clothes, with both saying they had been dressing as women from an early age.
“I was with my friend in the station, we were on our way home from work,” the 44-year-old defendant, who works as a tailor, said in official records.. “It was 9pm and the policeman stopped us. I was wearing a white blouse and blue unisex jeans. I was wearing women’s shoes and a bra and had my hair in a ponytail.”

He added: “I’ve worn women’s clothes since I was 10 and I used to use hormone injections to enlarge my breasts. I’m not homosexual, I just like to dress like a woman.”
The 34-year-old, who is a clothes designer, was wearing a blouse, jeans, silver shoes and was carrying a blue handbag containing make-up. He said: “I’ve been wearing women’s clothes since I was eight. We didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t cause problems at the metro station.”
The two men were sentenced at Dubai Court of Misdemeanours yesterday. They have appealed the verdict and a hearing has been set for this month.

Tailor may bag jail term for getting ‘too close’ to female client

Illustration
A tailor who was jailed for trying to kiss a female customer he was measuring for an abaya is fighting his prison sentence.
Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court had earlier sentenced the Asian man to six months and ordered he be deported after he was found guilty of assaulting an Arab woman and trying to kiss her on the lips in his shop.
But the man is challenging the ruling. He told the appeal court that he was wrongly convicted and didn’t touch or try to get intimate with the woman.
“I only took her measurements for an abaya,” he said. “I did nothing to her.”
His lawyer asked the court to acquit the man on this basis that there was “insufficient evidence” to prove that the tailor had behaved as charged. Court papers show that the woman lodged a complaint to RAK Police late last year. She claimed that the tailor assaulted her and tried to kiss her when she went to his shop to be measured for an abaya.
Prosecutors confirmed that police detained the tailor, who was interrogated and then referred to court. Investigations suggested he had been inappropriate. The woman earlier told the court the man grabbed her hands and tried to kiss her on the mouth as he was using his tape measure.
She said she pushed the tailor away and ran from his shop. The court hearing was adjourned until June 17.

Man accused of raping 13-year-old girl, claims he believed she was 18.

A man has been accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl in Dubai. The defendant, a 32-year-old from the Comoros Islands, appeared at the Court of First Instance on Thursday.
The court was told that he had sex with the Emirati teenager a number of times at a rented flat. The defendant claims the sex was consensual and that the girl had told him she was 18.
However, under UAE law an adult having sex with anyone under the age of 14 is considered rape.

According to official records, Dubai Police received a call in April from the parents of the 13-year-old girl saying their daughter was missing. The mother gave the police the telephone number of a man who the parents claim had beenn chatting with their daughter before she disappeared.
Police contacted the man, who said that he had taken her out but had done nothing inappropriate and dropped her off at Mall of the Emirates. Police checked CCTV footage from the mall and saw him dropping the teen at the mall.

However, they then spotted the girl meeting the defendant before leaving in his car. They traced the defendant via his licence plate and brought him to the police station.
He told them that he had taken the girl back to his flat in Sharjah.
“He claimed that she told him that she was 18 years old and she agreed to have sex with him. She was still at the flat so we went there and took her home,” a policeman said.
The teen said the defendant took her out for dinner and after they went to Sharjah they had sex three times in the flat over two days.

The defendant denies rape and the trial has been adjourned to prepare the defence.

Stepmum on trial over death of little girl who was husband’s ‘favourite’

A woman is accused of beating her stepdaughter to death because the girl reminded her of her husband’s ex-wife.
Dubai Court of First Instance was told the Jordanian forced the four-year-old she said was “dad’s favourite” to eat her own vomit
Dubai Court of First Instance was told the Jordanian had previously forced the four-year-old she said was “dad’s favourite” to eat her own vomit.

The 24-year-old housewife is accused of assault causing death following an incident in January. The girl’s biological mother received a call from her ex-husband to rush to hospital after, he said, their little girl Maya had fallen from her bicycle and hit her head on a wall.
“I rushed to the hospital but Maya was gone already,” said the 36-year-old Jordanian in court records. “I accused the defendant of killing my daughter when I saw signs of violence on my baby’s body. My daughters, who were staying with their father, are always telling me about the assaults on them by the stepmother.”

A 24-year-old Ethiopian housemaid, who worked for the family in the flat in Muraqabbat for four years, claimed she quit her job two months after the stepmum arrived because of the ill treatment she saw being dished out.
“She was treating the girls badly and assaulting them and even biting the little girl,” she testified. “She used to put food for them on the floor and forced them to eat it.

“Sometimes she forced the little girl to eat a large amount of food quickly until the little girl vomited, then she forced her to eat the vomit. She was always saying that she hated her because she looked like her real mother.”
The housemaid said the girls’ father knew the stepmother had been mistreating his daughters and had sent her back to Jordan for a while. But the husband brought her back to Dubai when he discovered she was pregnant with his fourth child, the court was told.

A medical report showed Maya’s death was caused by an assault, which resulted in bleeding inside her head and stomach. The defendant denies causing the child’s death. The trial has been adjourned and the Jordanian remains in police custody.
