Ford Mustang for ambulance service in Dubai

The Brabus 700 Widestar is a high-performance power off-roader with a 515 kW/700 HP 5,5 litreV8 biturbo engine.
The supercars of Dubai Police have got some competition after the city’s ambulance service added two Ford Mustangs to its fleet in a bid to reach patients faster.
The two American-made cars will provide support to paramedic teams in delivering a rapid response service and will help in rescuing critical cases, especially in traffic accidents, UAE news agency WAM reported.

The Dubai Ambulance Co-operation said it will also add a high-speed Lotus to its fleet in the coming days.
“We hope that these cars will help in reaching our 2020 target of reaching patients within four minutes of receiving a call,” said Khalifa Bin Darai, executive director of the Cooperation.
Currently, the emirate’s ambulance service is working to reach heart patients within eight minutes of receiving an emergency call. The number of ambulance vehicles in the Dubai service has now reached 204. The Mustangs, 2015 models, are expected to be the first vehicles deployed in critical situations so paramedics can provide first aid assistance until an ambulance crew arrives on site.

It was not immediately clear whether the cars were custom made or what medical equipment they have been equipped with. The two cars were given to the cooperation by Al Tayer Motors group.
“This move is the beginning of a long-term cooperation between us and proactive government entities,” said Tareq Al Tayer from Al Tayer group. “This is foremost a national duty.”
